TOUR BEGINS AT 9:00

2014 Realty Partner: Gerretson Realty, Inc.

The Cherry Hills Country Club was organized in 1922 and the founding members had first choice of the large lots surrounding the new golf course.  Architect brothers Merrill and Burnham Hoyt designed the clubhouse in 1923, along with a handsome brick Tudor Revival house for Denver Dry Goods department store vice-president and general manager William Roland Owen, which was completed in 1926.  The present-day owners of the house have graciously invited Columns & Coffee to enjoy coffee on the terrace, tour the grounds and main floor of the house, and peruse their collection of historical photographs and articles about the estate.

Location:  The W. R. Owen Estate, 3901 So. Gilpin Street, Englewood, Colorado 80113, located approximately 2½ blocks south of E. Hampden Avenue.  Meet for coffee at 8:30am at the front door, where you will be shown through to the terrace for refreshments.  The tour will begin at 9:00am.

Parking:  Park along the west side of So. Gilpin Street or the south side of Churchill Drive.  Walk through the brick archway (attached to the windmill) and proceed down the driveway to the front door.  Please be respectful of the homeowners and the neighbors.  Thank you.

Cost:  $10 General.  No cost to ICAA Members.
